Topic: Author Victor Bahna joins us to talk about his new fictional thriller book about a Thoroughbred race horse named Heliacal Star. Victor shares his background with racing and race horses and how the book took shape. I share some of my favorite parts of the book, without giving away the story or ending! And of course, two horse people always have to share a bunch of horse stories and opinions. If you are a horse person, you will love the accuracy of the details throughout the book, especially if you are familiar with Thoroughbred racing. If you are not familiar with racing and have a bad opinion, this book gives a more accurate picture of what the racing world is actually like. If you know nothing about horses, but are interested, then this book offers a glimpse into the horse racing world with all the complicated characters that actually exist in real life.
