Topic: The end of our horse's spine is about 1/3 of the tail. When we consider movement of the tail, we need to connect that to the use of the spine. In other words, a tail off to one side can help us detect lateral imbalances. A tight tail can be part of a tight back. While we can't assign specific meanings to all possible uses of the tail we can generalize and maybe investigate a bit more. A busy tail can indicate our horse is struggling with something. A soft, quiet tail can reflect softness through the back muscles. No tail use is right or wrong, but sometimes odd use of the tail can let us know that horse has a story to tell us, about something.
