Do not bear False Witness

Words carry incredible power, they can either heal or harm, bless or break. The Ninth Commandment, "You shall not bear false witness," goes beyond legal testimony to challenge the integrity of our daily speech. From gossip and slander to flattery and ridicule, Scripture calls us to a higher standard, one that reflects God's holiness and truth. James reminds us that both blessing and cursing shouldn't come from the same mouth, our words reveal the state of our hearts. In a world where deception is common, we’re called to speak truth in love, resist gossip, choose grace over retaliation, and use our voices to praise God and build others up.
