The Great Commandment

A Pharisee comes to Jesus and - testing him - asks, "Teacher, which commandment in the Law is the greatest?" There are 613 commandments in the Torah – 613 commandments which faithful people were expected to keep. Jesus says the greatest is to love God with all your heart, mind, and soul... and the second greatest is to love your neighbor as yourself.
