How do we react when a player goes off? When Saddiq Bey drops 50 points in a game, should we buy or sell? Gary gives us some practical suggestions on how to seize (or avoid) exciting moments in the NBA that might lead to card gains (or losses)! Hoops and Cards exists to inspire and entertain Basketball Card collectors and investors around the world.  No matter what your budget, you're bound to hear some relevant, funny, and current NBA card info to help you take that next step.  If you'd like to join our support team and get more HOOPS content every week, then sign up for HOOPSPLUS!  HOOPSPLUS can be found at http://anchor.fm/hoopsandcards/subscribe and gets you more exclusive content, interaction with our hosts, and monthly prizes which are usually basketball-card related.

-------------- Our host at HoopsandCards lives in Akron, Ohio, and is a lifelong Cleveland Cavaliers fan.  His PC (Personal Collection) of cards focuses on LeBron James, Darius Garland, Donruss Net Marvels, and Evan Mobley.  As of March 2022, Gary's investment picks for young players include Ja Morant (obviously), Darius Garland, Anfernee Simons, Tyrese Maxey, and - for longer-term gains - Shai Gilgeious-Alexander.  In general, we would prioritize rookie cards or unique cards of players who are on track to score 18+ points per game on NBA teams that have a chance to win the championship.  A special consideration should be given to players who score 25+ on playoff teams that will advance past round one (Read: Giannis, Trae, Joel, Devin, Donovan, Luka, Jayson, Ja, etc.)
