Double bassist, luthier, friend and humanity's finest, ALI PHELPS is this week's chatter. She's a fantastic player and person - we could all learn a ton from her. There's something about being a double bass player that makes us super cool and instantaneous friends - a shared burden perhaps. Either way, how Ali and I first met, bringing music to communities and the nonsense people say when they see someone walking along with a double bass are all discussed among other things.
