Hobby Time: Data Deep Dive - Set-to-Set, Year-to-Year, Base-to-Parallel

Episode 9 is all about creating a price expectation for some highly liquid basketball cards and grades.  I compare prices of Prizm Base, Prizm Silver, Optic Base, and Optic Holos across 4 years, and 3 grades (PSA 10, PSA 9, Raw) to develop (1) a few simple rules of thumb -- beginning of episode, and (2) a formula to estimate the expected price of some of these cards and finally (3) use this expected price to compare to actual comps to find undervalued and overvalued cards. 

I'm excited for this episode, this is the kind of stuff I love to do. In future episodes, I plan to use a similar process to estimate the volume of unnumbered parallels, and even to rank players against each other in terms of their overall market and maybe even compare that to my own collectability rankings.
