This week I meet up with singer/songwriter/dobro player ABBIE GARDNER. Abbie's musical journey starts with wanting to play instruments only nerds play, her words, not mine. Either way it doesn’t matter who instruments are for, because it has to start somewhere. That somewhere was just the tip of the iceberg for where Abbie would end up. Abbie’s musical story is about structure and rewarding herself for her “sticktoitveness.” Growing up in an area where her style of music was not prevalent or easy to find, Abbie found a community of music makers to grow with. Abbie and I had a lot of fun on this show, we may have even had some lovely background music to help us at one point. Join Abbie and I as we reminisce about “When We Were Kids” as we travel “Down The Mountain" laughing all the way home.
