HiddenTrack #86 STARMARKET (Fredrik Brandstrom)

This week I had the great pleasure to hang out with an artist I have followed for over 27 years. That person is Fredrik Brandstrom of the influential Swedish band STARMARKET. I was lucky enough to have someone hand me the debut STARMARKET album way back in 1995 and I have been a fan ever since. Following Fredrik’s career closely it was clear that he and the band kept up with what was going in the music scene’s around the world. STARMARKET constantly evolved their sound with the times and broke those trends when needed. The story of growing up in a small town in Sweden to two piano playing parents would lead Fredrick to other instruments, so as to not be compared to his parents. Thank god for that, cause without that want; there would be no STARMARKET for the world to enjoy. Join Fredrik and I as we discuss the process of finding new music around the world back in the day and what its like when you find your scene.
