HiddenTrack #71 SLEEP CYCLES (Chris Newhard & Stephen Morrell)

This week I catch up with Chris Newhard & Stephen Morrell of the formative new band SLEEP CYCLES.  I know that when it comes to finding new music to be passionate about, it can be hard. Sleep Cycles make that choice a whole lot easier. With a line up that I can only explain as a Super Group, their resumes do not disappoint. Chris Newhard and Chris Poulsen met while playing in the Philly based band Promise of Redemption. Poulsen’s resume also includes Tokyo Rose, The Color Fred and Secondhand Serenade. Stephen Morrell, former lead guitarist for Philadelphia-based pop-punk band An Honest Year  soon joined on and then brought in his old band mate Greg Pinney to round out the melodic thrashing rock band we now know as SLEEP CYCLES.  The colboaritive effort it took to pull this all together is a fun and at times spit out your beer funny. Join us on our banter filled journey and find out the name of Chris, Stephen and I, super group name.
