HiddenTrack #11 HuDost (Moksha Sommer & Jemal Wade Hines)

My guests this week are Moksha Sommer and Jemal Wade Hines from the band "HuDost". Their talents are wide ranging, from being Musicians, to Congressional District Representatives in KY for ONE, to being parents. The combination of their talents has earned them awards such as the Independent Music Award for Social Action with their song "Rise Together". The new song by HuDost is called "Our Words Will be Louder" and was a collaboration with many artists and activists throughout the world, such Dan Haseltine (Jars of Clay), Christie Lenée,  Kevin Clash (Elmo) and Kevin Hearn (The Barenaked Ladies) to name a few.   The message of the song is driven home at the end by The Reverend William J. Barber ll.  Great stories, great moments, and real messages come out through the entire episode.
