This week I had the great opportunity to catch up with Bob Hoag of a band that played a big part in shaping my musical taste, POLLEN. Bob has had a lengthy career in the musical arts and currently owns and operates FLYING BLANKET RECORDING out of Mesa, AZ. Bob’s attention to detail has helped many other bands achieve the sounds they were looking for. More recently Bob had the opportunity to go back into the studio with his early work from POLLEN to find the sound he always envisioned for the band. Having the opportunity to remaster and issue Pollen’s catalog on vinyl for the first time, Bob got to play with the original recordings. This episode is filled with some great conversations about many different things, often falling down some rabbit holes. Join Bob and I as we try to figure out if “Girls Love Robots” while wearing “Tiny Shoes” and we hope you don't “Hyperventilate” when you hear the answer.
