Recently my brother overdosed on what I assumed was the drug I knew he was addicted to. It turns out, his addiction isn't limited to one specific thing. I didn't know he was still doing any drugs. A lot of people in my family never knew he had done them at all. How much was because he was hiding it? How much was everyone else's denial?
This is an interview with him, from the hospital where he's currently recovering from the effects of what happened. This is a not a story about overcoming demons, this is just a story about having them.
I plan to follow up within 6 months to a year and see where he is at. Thank you to those of you who have reached out and offered love and support to my brother. my family and myself.
