In 2017, Megan Sanchez grew her successful Portland torta truck into a brick and mortar restaurant. Combining the Mexican flavors and Egyptian hospitality of her heritage, her inviting and carefully curated restaurant, Güero is a Portland destination for delicious Mexican sandwiches or tortas. She spoke with HRN’s Hannah Fordin about creating the perfect dining atmosphere, curating rainy lunchtime playlists, scaling up her business, and bringing mezze style dining to Mexican cuisine.
