Who isn't living with some form of trauma in our current world?
It's just part of our lives, and whether you've got something lingering from childhood, a more recent experience, or even chronic underlying patterns that carve out longer term less-overt forms of trauma, we've all got something to heal from.
And as you may already know, trauma commonly settles into the pelvis - whether it's sexual or not.
Today's interview with pelvic floor physical therapist Dr Emily Wilson explores a variety of different practices specifically focused on your pelvis, womb and cervix that may be helpful for you to begin your personal trauma healing journey.
You'll learn about how the position of your womb may carry a certain meaning, why your psoas (a muscle spanning from your mid-back to your groin) may be holding tension, and how your cervix may be trying to tell you something - all through deeply listening to patterns of imbalance in your body.
Emily really bridges her knowledge of physical therapy techniques with more intuitive healing work, which helps make this work accessible for pretty much all of us.
