How do you navigate uncertainty - in your body, in your mind, in your life?
I think it's easy to fall into patterns of avoidance or not facing what's hard, especially when that requires us to feel big emotions or actually respond to what we're feeling with some kind of action.
This is just as true with worldly events like we're witnessing now as it is with information our body is telling us about our health.
When it's confusing or intense, we often want to escape in some way, to feel better as quickly as possible so we don't have to actually look at what's underlying.
Or to choose a quick fix rather than something that might take a little more effort.
But the problem with that is if we ignore the smaller signs and symptoms telling us that something is imbalanced for too long, we tend to end up with more significant imbalances that are harder to relieve.
And if you add on to that the shifts and changes we go through hormonally throughout our lives, it can feel like a very dynamic and confusing situation in our bodies.
But when we start to actually listen to (and respond to) to what the body is telling us, everything changes.
When we pay attention, we begin to cultivate a trusting relationship with the ebbs and flows, the cycles and patterns, the rhythms and even the unknown.
And especially when we connect to our wombspace with intention, care and presence, we are able to deepen that trust in a way that also feels held and nurtured by our relationship to the earth and those who came before us.
It's no small thing to form a trusting relationship with your body, including when things feel like they're falling apart.
I talk all about what this can look and feel like, and some practices for you to explore, in this week's episode.
