Do you know the different boundary areas you need to set in your life?

Conversational Boundaries- topics you are and are not open to discussing. Maybe it’s politics (this one rarely ends well if you’re on opposing sides), but how about gossip? We know what scripture says about it: it’s a sin and to even participate in it is sin. Is that a boundary you need to set?

Relationship Boundaries- these are usually mutually agreed upon between your partner and close friends and family. Maybe you don’t mind if they “pop in,” maybe you do. Set clear boundaries with your people.

Personal Boundaries- don’t apologize for these and don’t shame someone for theirs. They may have experienced some sort of trauma you’re unaware of. Always respect other people’s boundaries. These can be boundaries within yourself, too, that you know keep you from going back to old ways or ensuring you’re staying on track with God’s way and not the world’s way. And lastly, one of my favorites but one we don’t talk about a lot.

Content Boundaries- Listen up, Christians! Things you will or will not consume as it relates to the type of television you watch, the music you listen to, what reels you watch on social media, and the language of the songs you listen to is so important! This is a big one for me. If there are too many curse words in the first three minutes of a movie, I’m out. I don’t have time for inappropriate use of my God’s name or a certain “F” bomb that many movies think just must be in there. We reap what we sow, we put out what we put in; that goes for food, movement, movies, music, and relationships. If you crave intimacy with God, remove the junk in your life.

Set boundaries for yourself. Respect the ones others set for themselves and let your kids set their own. They know who and what they’re comfortable with. You’ve raised them right; let them decide who gets in their personal space.

Are you sick of trying diet after diet and NOT losing weight?

Hey there friend, I'm Lindy Schlabach, Christian Fitness & Nutrition Coach. I gained 100 pounds in my late twenties and struggled for years to get it off. Seven years ago, I found a basic system that worked and has helped me lose 90 of those pounds. I’ve been working with women in online fitness and nutrition ever since to break chains of diet culture, embrace their bodies and fueling instead of dieting.

In this podcast, I'll teach you how to:

  • • Lose Weight in a Way that honors God without obsessing about the scale
    • Meal Plan and Prep for Your Family
    • Follow a MACRO based plan that allows you to eat the foods you love.
    • Recognize and pray through triggers keeping you stuck.
    • I’ll help you Plan your week and schedule your self-care time.
    • Cultivate a spirit of self-discipline in your workouts you actually enjoy.

It's time to give God your health journey and watch Him make you new, from the inside, OUT.
