On today’s “Hello Houston,” Ernie, Frank and Celeste discuss the big topics of the day such as Texas Senate Bill 482 which would up the penalty for assaulting a utility worker and Texas Senate Bill 3 on consumable hemp at the top of each hour. State Senator Carol Alvarado who authored Senate Bill 482 calls in to share her thoughts on the bill.

Also, in the first hour, American Meteorological Society President Alan Sealls discusses federal cuts to the National Weather Service and how it can impact Houston, and Bradley Bailey, Ting Tsung and Wei Fong Chao Curator and Chair of Asian Art at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston talks about their new immersive exhibition Floating World.

Then, in the second hour, we hear from Officer Ken Nealy, the 1st Vice President of the Houston Police Officers Union, who talks about the shortage of officers at HPD, and then we dive into our “Last Minute Plans” – a comprehensive list of everything going on in the city this weekend.
