On today’s Hello Houston, Ernie and guest host Chau Nguyen discuss today’s top stories at the top of each hour, including a federal judge declining to release documents from the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein, Columbia University settling with the Trump Administration, and Sen. John Cornyn wanting an “Alligator Alcatraz” in Texas. 

In the first hour of the show, we’ll talk with Dr. Catherine Troisi, an epidemiologist and professor of infectious diseases, about the rise in COVID-19 cases that have been growing across most of the country this summer, and how we can best prepare ourselves.   

Then, in the second hour, we hear from Jake Bullock, the founder and CEO of Cann, one of the first and largest THC beverage brands in the state, who joins us to share his thoughts on the possible THC ban in Texas and how it could impact his business. Plus, Ernie and Chau share their latest pop culture obsessions for our regular Thursday feature – "Current Obsessions."
