On today’s Hello Houston, Ernie, Frank, and Celeste talk with Ed Hirs, energy economist and fellow at the University of Houston, who breaks down how the “One Big Beautiful Bill' could reshape the future of clean energy, fossil fuels, and the billions of dollars flowing through both during the first hour of the show.

Also, in the first hour, Juan Garcia, Chairman of the Harris County Houston Sports Authority, discusses Houston hosting this week’s AAU Junior Olympic Games, the largest youth multi-sport event in the United States.

In the show’s second hour, our hosts discuss the start of a special legislative session today with University of Houston political science professor and Party Politics co-host Brandon Rottinghaus, who breaks down the session. 

Then, we hear from Congressman Randy Weber, representing Texas’s 14^th district, who tells us about his new bipartisan legislation to enhance our weather forecasting capabilities. Plus, graduate student Kayla Clark tells us about a Rice University study that looks at the impact music has on memory.
