A calming reading of chapters 5 to 8 in Deuteronomy. Moses reminds the Israelites of God's commandments and the covenant they made, urging them to obey for their own well-being.  He calls them to love God with all their heart and soul, and to pass His teachings down through generations. The people are warned against adopting foreign gods and are reminded of their special status as God's chosen. Finally, they’re told to remember God's care during their hardships and not let future prosperity lead them to forget Him.
