005- Pair Your Bible Reading with Prayer

I'm revisiting my number one tip for getting started with Bible reading in this episode: Pair your Bible reading with prayer. The disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to pray, and they certainly weren't the last ones to ask that question. Listen along as I share a sweet story about teaching my nephew about prayer, and as I read and discuss the verses in Matthew and Luke about the Lord's prayer. 

"One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.” He said to them, “When you pray, say: 
“‘Father,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come.
Give us each day our daily bread.

And lead us not into temptation.’”
