AI has been a hot topic for several years now. Developing at an exponential pace, this new technology is swiftly permeating all areas of our life. It has sparked many discussions around ethics and worker replaceability, but why is no one talking about its impact on women? From biased hiring processes, through digital assistants like Alexa or Siri, to the dark networks of artificially generated nudes, the online space continues to grow, putting women in a compromising position, to say the least. In this episode we explore the many ways in which AI technologies have facilitated online harassment of women, posing significant threats to their privacy, and how the gaps in legislation are failing the victims of this abuse.
