#19 Can a post save the world? The social activism dilemma

You’re doom scrolling through instagram, memes, images of cute cats, and ads flood the screen in a constant stream of mildly stimulating chaos. Every now and then, a political commentary post on abortion rights or war casualties will pop up, you stop for a second, click “repost” and scroll over to another meme.

Social media has become one of the main sources of information for many people and so it’s no wonder that it has also become a medium to promote activist ideas. But can a post really save the world?
