Seriously. What is it with diners and restaurant breakfasts?
Why is nearly everything on the menu a sneaky high fat IBS trigger food?
Pancakes
Waffles
French toast
Biscuits
Scones
Pastries
Croissants
Pie crust
Doughnuts
In my ideal world? I avoid the gotchas! and cook safe, low fat, trigger free versions at home.
In my real world? I order as carefully as possible and avoid the known enemies.
But I also assume there are sneaky enemies, lurking where I don’t expect them.
So I hope for the best but plan for the worst, and proactively take control of my gut before it’s under enemy fire.
I do that by taking my enteric peppermint oil capsule (I love Tummy Tamers) while my stomach is still empty, before I even place that order.
You are not alone.
