Audio. IBS quick tip. Watch out for white! Condiments, sauces, dips, dressings and soups...
Mayonnaise, tartar sauce, aiolis, Alfredos, sour cream, Greek garlic sauces, cream cheese, whipped cream, salad dressings, chowders, bisques
If you’re eating for IBS you need to go low fat (but not fat free), as fat is a huge IBS trigger.
So avoid anything white that is a condiment, sauce, dip, or soup.
Why? Because that white color almost always means it’s high fat, or dairy, or both.
Think mayonnaise, tartar sauce, aiolis, Alfredos, sour cream, gyro garlic sauces, cream cheese, whipped cream, salad dressings, chowders, bisques.
These are all almost pure fat, and likely to set off symptoms.
Watch out for white!
And remember, avoiding those trigger foods never means deprivation, just some easy substitutions.
You are not alone.
