HAAP Ep. 25 - Aloha Friday with Merina "Mahealani" Smith

In this episode, I'm talking story with a young, bright kanaka wahine originally from the ahupuaʻa of Hakipuʻu on the island of Oahu. She now lives in Eugene, Oregon, and she is actually one of my formal students from the Hawaiian Public Charter School that I taught at for 15 years. Her name is Merina Mahealani Smith and she is actually the sister of another guest I interviewed a few weeks ago in episode 17 with Honey-Girl. So when you hear Merina mention Honey during our discussion, it’s her sister that she is referring to.
