Through a podcast, community, and in-person events, Kriselle Gabriel, founder of Empowered in Color, strives to create equity for people of color looking to jumpstart their careers through entrepreneurship and networking opportunities. Allowing for a collaborative space, Empowered in Color celebrates the diversity and creativity of the people around us. 

Kriselle shared her own story about growing up in a culturally diverse neighborhood and how it felt to transition to a less than diverse college campus. It was very poignant and speaks to what I believe, many young people of color face as they leave what is familiar for the unfamiliar. 

I am grateful for those early influences as they brought about her “why” for creating Empowered in Color. I found Kriselle’s story inspiring and am looking forward to watching the work she has started grow into something that will inspire and educate so many moving forward.
