I just finished watching the Barbie movie for the second time, and I have to say, there's one scene that absolutely blew me away. It's this incredible monologue by America Ferrera's character, Gloria, the mother of a teen daughter and unappreciated assistant to the CEO of Mattel, that just nails it when it comes to the impossible standards women are held to. 

She basically laid out the entire female experience in one breath-taking speech. I'm talking about everything from body image to career pressure, to the constant need to be everything to everyone. 

So, I wanted to take some time today to dive deep into what she said, and to talk about how we can navigate this crazy, contradictory world we live in. Let's get real.
