Today’s special guest, Jeffrey Richman, is a highly acclaimed writer and producer who’s brought us some of the most iconic and beloved television shows of our generation, including “Wings”, “Stark Raving Mad”, “Frasier”, “Stacked”, “Back to You”, “Desperate Housewives”, “Rules of Engagement”, “Modern Family” and many more.  

He wrote many episodes from the shows I’ve just mentioned, and he also wrote 2 of Barbra Streisand’s TV concert specials: “Streisand: Live in Concert” and “Streisand: Back to Brooklyn”.  

And in 2010, he wrote the 82nd Annual Academy Awards show, for which he received an Emmy Award nomination.   The list of accolades and awards this man has received is truly jaw-dropping.  For his work on “Frasier”, he won an Emmy Award for Best Comedy Series.   And for his work during 10 seasons of “Modern Family”, he won 5 Emmy Awards, including 1 for outstanding script, 3 Writers Guild Awards, 3 Producers Guild Awards, an American Comedy Award, and a Golden Globe Award for Best Comedy Series.   

He’s currently the co-creator and executive producer of a wonderful series called “Uncoupled”, starring Neil Patrick Harris, now going into its second season on Showtime.
