The very first time The Gospel appears in scripture, as well as the first three promises ever made by God, is in Genesis 3:15. God promises 1) spiritual warfare between Satan and us, and between Satan and Jesus, 2) Jesus will conquer sin and 3) Jesus will suffer for our sin.
