A Record Breaking Debut For Dewald Brevis As Hants Demolish Essex Twice | Hampshire Is The Winner

Fresh from the IPL South African T20 wonder kid Dewald Brevis smoked his first ball for six on his blast debut for Hampshire. 

Records tumbled around the ground as first the women and then the men smashed enourmous totals to begin the season on a high. 

Playing in the first season of the Women's Vitality Blast the new Hampshire Hawks side scored 215-3 and saw out the victory restricting Essex to 190-7.

The men went 15 runs better with the bat putting on 230-7 before bowling the visitors out for 124. 

Finally a win on the opening day of the T20 Blast!
