In Luke 21:19 Jesus said: “By your endurance, gain your lives.” The King James is a great translation here: “In your patience possess ye your souls.” Jesus is not saying that we earn our way into Heaven. What we are talking about is taking responsibility for ourselves and the core of our being. It is exciting to know that the God of all creation wants us to be steadfast and solid in this life, where nothing can shake us or shake us loose from our attention and focus on Him, where He receives all glory due him and we are conformed into the image of His Son. This episode will give you help to toughen up and see the hand of God at work in ALL your life circumstances! A great short article on “The Patient Possessing of Your Soul”.
