A conversation with Matthew Halsall - trumpeter and founder of Gondwana Records label who creates beautiful, dreamy ambient music and was in Japan for live shows at Peter Barakan's Live Magic and Blue Note Tokyo in October 2024. Halsall discusses being inspired by the spiritual side of Japan, recording  the sounds of nature for his music, the power of silence in music, and some recommended music and food spots in his hometown Manchester.
