Subject: Springfield XD 9mm vs Glock 19







Message: Hi Jake and Zack,







I’m an amateur. Used to shoot when I was younger with my grandpa, dad, and brother...fast forward 20 years and I’m a newb again. It’s not like riding a bike. Nothing is familiar to me.







Looking into purchasing my first firearm (of my own). Debating on the Springfield XD and Glock 19.







Pros and cons? Just looking for a good shooting range gun and something comfortable for women. I shoot pretty well with a Glock 17 right now, but I think I would be more comfortable and accurate with something slightly smaller. Any insight would be great. (Not that I can even find a Glock 19...I guess there’s a con)







Also, what is the Glock of rifles? I would like something basic, easy to use and maintain. (Need the patch of the month to go with it “My Rifle Identifies as a Fishing Rod”...since I love fishing too)







Love listening to you guys whether I’m running errands, driving, cleaning, cooking, etc. I’ve already learned some good stuff.

Are you referring to retired guys shooting Ruger 1911s? With Vortex red dot sights?
