Are our kids up for bigger stories and bigger challenges? We think so.
It is so easy to be tempted to keep our kids safe and secure and comfortable. However, real security comes from facing challenges in supportive environments and developing the necessary skills to deal with failure (and success) with strong advocates (that's you, parents).
Our kids are in our home for a short time (even when it feels like A. Very. Long Time.) We get these few years to help develop our children's character and skills. What an honor and an adventure to help our kids take age-appropriate risks and coach them out of their "little stories" into a much bigger story--loving, serving, and deeply knowing others.
In honor of David & Rachael streaming the entire series of Parks & Recreation, the Stat of the Week is all about the highest rated TV shows of all time (via Wikipedia). Spoiler: Parks & Rec is not one of them.
