Shelter-in-place has us a little stressed--between work, parenting, distance learning and a full month now of near-isolation. So, we decided to revisit an earlier episode we did on the impact of stress on our family. Enjoy!
-- R&D
Stress at work leads to anxiety and distraction at home. This week we talk about how David's stress negatively impacts the whole family. Spoiler alert: He gets grumpy. He is not as present as he would like. He can be short with the kids (and maybe his wife sometimes too). Maybe you and your spouse can relate.
We also have some fun stories about plane fights, poop in the vacuum, and murder-boning (that's a phrase Rachael invented accidentally). Also, David totally butchers a quote from French philosopher, Michel de Montaigne: "My life has been full of terrible misfortunes most of which never happened."
The Stat of the Week is the most stressful minute of the day (from Inc.). We also discuss different theories on the most stressful day of the week: of course it's Monday; or maybe it's Tuesday; or actually it's Thursday...Who knows?!?
We truly appreciate you listening! Please take a minute to share this episode with a friend who might be encouraged by this conversation or who just needs a good laugh at our expense.
