We have been feeling pressure lately to "make the most" of quarantine and have all the right talks in the perfect way in the correct frequency. However, we aren't always right, we are never perfect, and only Rachael is always correct. ;)

Seriously though...we are talking about how much we want to change our selves (slowly, through intentionality, space for self-reflection, reading, prayer, conversation, and long walks) to be more and more like people we'd want our kids to emulate. This is the hard inner work of maturing and growing.

Come along with us and explore how we grow up (with kids), how we engage our feelings honestly, how we expose our true hearts to our children (in an age-appropriate manner), and how we model the struggle of all of this for them.

Also, we have some very very very serious conversations about MarioKart David's temper, and how we taught our kids a new, mildly inappropriate word this week. (Great modeling, guys!)

Rachael's cousin, Jen Elgersma, recently wrote a thoughtful blog post about this idea that our kids are always watching and learning from us. Check it out; it is a quick and encouraging read!

Enjoy this week's Stat of the Week about the most popular board games of all time. There are some great ones...and then there is Candy Land (which is only fun in our house because Rachael uses real candy!).

Thank you for listening! We hope you enjoyed this episode. We are so grateful for everyone who listens to us and would appreciate if you would share the podcast with a friend who might be encouraged by this conversation or who just needs a good laugh at our expense.
