For the first time, we tackle a listener question (submitted via our brand new website): How do we handle disciplining our children in public?

We delve into the challenges with feeling embarrassed and the temptation to get angry when our kids misbehave in front of other people--be it strangers, friends, or family. A few suggestions we cover:

• Seek the heart of your child (don't focus on behavior modification)
• Find privacy to address the situation
• Take the time necessary
• Do seek reconciliation: work with your child to seek forgiveness if they have hurt/wronged someone
• Address public patterns in private
