Warner Bros Discovery will separate into two publicly traded companies, with Global Networks managing cable TV networks like CNN, Discovery, and TNT Sports, and Streaming and Studios overseeing Warner Bros Television, Warner Bros Motion Picture Group, DC Studios, HBO, and HBO Max. Gunnar Wiedenfels will lead Global Networks as president and CEO, while David Zaslav will remain CEO of Streaming and Studios. Global Networks will retain up to a 20 percent stake in the streaming business. The company aims to give each business independent management and strategy following challenges since the 2022 WarnerMedia and Discovery merger.
