XRobotics, a San Francisco-based startup, developed the xPizza Cube, a countertop robot that uses machine learning to automate repetitive pizza-making tasks such as applying sauce, cheese, and pepperoni. The machine, which can produce up to 100 pizzas per hour and is leased for $1,300 per month, is designed to assist staff rather than replace them. After adjusting its product to be smaller and more practical, XRobotics now serves both independent pizzerias and large chains, producing approximately 25,000 pizzas monthly. The company recently raised $2.5 million in seed funding to expand production and plans to enter markets in Mexico and Canada.
