The winner of Greece next top model has quickly become one of the most booked models and is widely considered as one of the best looking men in Greece.

At a young age, Hercules moved to Greece from Russia and as a mixed child, having an African father and Russian mother he was encouraged to change his birth name to something more appropriate for his new home country. 

In the Greekspired Podcast he shares why Hercules become the name of choice.

• I love greek mythology and Hercules was someone I looked up to, and I was also told that Zeus was a pet name.

Growing up as a mixed race child in the suburbs of Athens was not always a bed of roses. 

• I lived in a rough neighborhood and often when I entered shops I would have some security guard follow me around. 

His mother has been an inspiration throughout his life and he speaks affectionately how a strong motivation is to make her proud. 

- My mother has always helped me in life, I didn’t grow up with a father so she took on the role of both parents which wasn’t always easy. 

He was discovered by a booking agent at a party and had to initially lie to his mother about modeling due to her worries off he industry.

Hercules, who loves his profession, openly shares what he believe it takes to stay relevant in one of the most competitive industries and gives tips on how to make it. 

• It is not enough to be good looking to stay relevant in the modeling industry, you need to have something that sets you a part and that makes you more interesting for the brands and bookers.
• You can go for months without getting a job and you have to be ok with being rejected a lot, but the important thing is to keep going and don’t let rejection get to you because one day you will get that gig that will turn things around. 

To be part of and win one of greeks most popular tv-shows not only generated bookings but also a lot of fame and in the Greekspired podcast he speaks about his current relationship status and what the first thing he looks for in a girl. 

- I always look at the eyes, and nice eyebrows is a plus. 

And in terms of his relationship status, well, he is is currently happy and single. 

The young man from the suburbs of Athens have come a long way, and he is only getting started.
