NBC announced, that prime-time host Mike Tirico was abruptly leaving Beijing and returning to the United States. Tirico was originally scheduled to return to cover the NFL Super Bowl.

Why? NBC didn't reveal the reason for Tirico's departure but it comes after he twice called out the Chinese Communist regime during the opening ceremonies, saying:

"The United States government is not here... citing China’s human rights record and the US government’s declaration that the Chinese Communist Party is guilty of committing genocide on the Uyghur Muslim population in Western Xinjiang region."

He also reminded the audience that China was the “nation where Covid began.”

Remember that Nancy Pelosi warned U.S. athletes to "not risk incurring the anger of the Chinese government because they are ruthless."

I've been pretty vocal with you all about my opposition to our participation in the Genocide Games as well as NBC's choice to sponsor the games. But I give Tirico credit for speaking out against the murderous Chinese regime.
