AOC Tax the Rich and a Heartbeat in Texas

AOC wears a 'Tax The Rich' dress at $30K-per-ticket Met Gala

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., wore a white dress with the slogan "tax the rich" at the lavish Met Gala in New York.

The wardrobe choice drew a mixed response on social media, with some praising Ocasio-Cortez's message and others questioning whether it conflicted with the star-studded nature of the event.

Tickets to the Met Gala cost at least $30,000, according to the Associated Press. It is unclear if Ocasio-Cortez purchased a ticket.

For this fashion, AOC went viral for wearing the outfit which is ironic, because the people who attend the MET Gala are all filthy rich. AOC herself earns $175,000 per year and her boyfriend reportedly has a net worth in the millions.

A self-described Democratic socialist, Ocasio-Cortez is one of the most prominent progressive voices in support of President Biden’s $3.5 trillion budget reconciliation package. She has repeatedly called for increased taxes on the wealthiest Americans to pay for progressive policy initiatives, such as climate-friendly infrastructure and expanded access to free healthcare.

If that's not enough hypocrisy for you:
AOC's ticket for the MET Gala costs: $30,000
A table at the MET Gala costs: $275,000
AOC's dress is estimated to cost at least $1,000

Barstool Sports CEO Dave Portnoy said it best: “Tax the Rich”……But first I’m gonna go have the time of my life partying with them all at the most extravagant over-the-top party of the year that is essentially a celebration of richness.

AOC posed maskless as she arrived, but attendees had to be vaccinated and were expected to wear masks once inside.

One more question… Where’s her mask?

Meanwhile, AOC was mocked by Candace Owens recently over a comment by AOC about ‘menstruating people’
Candace Owens stated ‘We’re not allowed to say ‘woman’’

'If you can't identify women, you have no place in the abortion debate' thus referring to AOC getting involved in commenting about the controversial Texas "Heartbeat Act" which bans most abortions once a fetal heartbeat is detected. AOC was quoted from her rebuttal to Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signing the state's new heartbeat bill into law.

In an interview with CNN, Ocasio-Cortez claimed Abbott may not be "familiar with a menstruating person's body – in fact, I do know he's not familiar with a woman – a female – a menstruating person's body."
Candace Owens on "Tucker Carlson Tonight" stated that the New York Democrat AOC was apparently afraid of the potential "woke" repercussions of failing to distinguish women from "menstruating people."

"Isn’t it so sad we have to talk about basic biology especially when you are dealing with someone who is a 32-year-old congresswoman," Owens said.

"I’m sorry, did I say woman?" she added. "I meant to say Congressmenstruatingperson – because were not allowed to say, woman."

So, what did all this come from? It came from the Heartbeat in Texas.

The Supreme Court just ruled in favor of keeping the controversial Texas "Heartbeat Act" in place, which bans most abortions once a fetal heartbeat is detected, usually around six weeks. The court ruled 5-4 after Texas abortion providers sued to block enforcement of the law that went into effect on September 1st. Conservative Justice John Roberts joined the three liberals in their dissent.

'Heartbeat Act' details: Texas isn't the first state to pass a law like this. But in every other instance, courts have granted the request of abortion providers to nullify the...
