Why is this Sunday structured differently from the rest of the year? Why is today different? It is a remembrance of the scriptures, and what prophets and priests foretold becoming fulfilled. This Sunday is a reminder that we are a people that welcome the son of David; Jesus, in our hearts, our minds, and in our homes just as he rode into Jerusalem. Today kicks off the beginning of the retreat of Holy Week to remember the suffering, death, and rise of Jesus.
