Today’s episode is a bridge in many ways. It’s one more story, the last story we’ll look at it in this series of ones we overlook and avoid for a while, and it brings us nicely into the season of Advent. It’s the story of Zechariah learning he’ll soon be the father of John the Baptist.
And for what it’s worth, it’s a story that will figure prominently into Drawing Out Advent, the series I’ve created with Adam Trest and Thomas Steinwinder for this season. Get access to every episode HERE! And tell your friends!
You've Never Read This," is a new series from God Knows Where looking at stories in our scriptures that fall through the cracks. In this series, we're looking at a dozen or so stories that never show up in the Revised Common Lectionary used by many mainline Protestant Churches, including the one I used to pastor. Join us as we try to figure why we avoid or ignore these stories and the (surprising) wisdom they have for us.
DON'T FORGET! You can leave us a rating or review wherever you're listening to the show! And tell a friend about God Knows Where too!
