You've Never Read This: Speechless

Today’s episode is a bridge in many ways. It’s one more story, the last story we’ll look at it in this series of ones we overlook and avoid for a while, and it brings us nicely into the season of Advent. It’s the story of Zechariah learning he’ll soon be the father of John the Baptist.

You've Never Read This," is a new series from God Knows Where looking at stories in our scriptures that fall through the cracks. In this series, we're looking at a dozen or so stories that never show up in the Revised Common Lectionary used by many mainline Protestant Churches, including the one I used to pastor. Join us as we try to figure why we avoid or ignore these stories and the (surprising) wisdom they have for us.
