Based in Manchester, Gareth Smith is a multi-disciplinary artist and ex-engineer from Hull, and Vanishing is his project. With Karl D’Silva and using a shifting cast of collaborators, Smith assembles words, music and film that reflects his industrial roots, reworked over and again until meaning and purpose is found.

Ends Without Redress, further exploration of the themes of 2021’s ‘55ºN, 5ºE’: narratives of the sea, of Yorkshire forefathers, past and present and the legacy of War, will be available on Outer Reaches early summer 2023.
