Dr. Nair is a globally celebrated Mohiniattam dancer, performer, choreographer, and teacher with an illustrious career spanning over 39 years. As the seniormost disciple of the legendary Padmabhushan Dr. Kanak Rele, she has played a pivotal role in preserving and evolving this classical Indian dance form. Recognized as a "prima ballerina among Mohiniattam dancers" by critic George Paul, Dr. Nair was the first student in India to earn both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Mohiniattam.
