It's 2021 and yet, women are still so often defined (and limited) by our gender. We are "female" attorneys, "female" CEO's, and "Girl Bosses". While the shattered glass ceilings are inspiring, it's high time women and girls cease viewing the world, limiting our potential and keeping our visions small because we are female humans.
In the 1st ever Girl Out of Order series, Christine explores various areas of female personhood with humor, vulnerability and her characteristic honesty. She challenges women to address the ways they limit themselves and other women simply because of the "V". In this introductory episode, Christine sets out her vision for what the series is and what the series is not.
What the Series IS NOT:
- NOT about minimizing women's unique pain, unique struggles or unique contributions.
- NOT about minimizing differences between women and men - physiology, biology and psychology.
- NOT a place to rage about real and observable injustices inflicted on and/or experienced by women.
What the Series IS:
- STOP limiting beliefs, START expanding visions for the future - the only limits are the ones you impose on yourself.
- STOP looking around, START looking within - comparison kills.
- STOP limiting other women, START listening, learning and lifting up - Who runs the world? GIRLS!
Be ready to think more deeply about the ways in which we often make ourselves smaller in our minds and out in the world. Once you start to pay more attention, you'll be inspired to take concrete steps to never again let your "V" define you.
