Dating can be tricky when English isn’t your first language. Laura Fois joins us to talk about some of the lost-in-translation moments she’s had while looking (and sometimes not looking) for love.

Laura’s show, Power, Language and Love, plays in Fringe Brisbane Nov 4 and 5 at 7:30pm and Nov 6 at 7pm.

PIP Performance Theatre, 20 Park Road, Milton QLD, QLD 4064

Laura Fois is a versatile singer, producer and writer of Italian heritage.

She is particularly passionate about cabaret. Her credits as a performer include Blathnaid/Scathach in the original musical Destiny Doomed, produced by Observatory Theatre, the Lady of the Lake in Spamalot (Brisbane Arts theatre), Magda in Ladies in Black (Brisbane Arts theatre), Lucy in Jekyll and Hyde (BMCG, WA), Marianne Renate in Shout! The legend of the wild one (Beenleigh Theatre Group).

In 2020 she performed in the multi awarded short "The Great Salami Breakout" currently successfully presented at international festivals. As a producer, she looks for opportunities to tell women’s stories, particularly though performers’ individual stories and through independent writers’ scripts.
